This is a permanent part-time position. Days of work are rotating and shift times are 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00.

What will you work on?
As the Shift Coordinator Nurse you are responsible for patient placement, bed utilization and staffing during evenings, weekends and night shifts. You will act as a clinical resource to staff in resolving problems regarding patient care, staffing levels and bed utilization. You are accountable for ensuring excellence in the provision of patient centered care throughout the hospital on assigned shift.

The Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH) is in the Kootenay Boundary health service area and responsible for providing medical and surgical services including physician specialties, 24 hour emergency and trauma services, Level 2 laboratory, acute and obstetrical care, psychiatry, and chemotherapy.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

• Three years’ recent related clinical experience and two years’ recent supervisory experience in a complex health care environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Current CPR certificate. Please upload a copy along with your resume
