Position Summary

We currently have an opportunity for a Casual Cardiac Sonographer with our team.


This position will work days and evenings with the shift times being 07:30 to 17:22, 08:30 to 16:22, 12:00 to 20:52. Casual employment means work requirements can vary between Zero and 37.5 hours per week. Work will be available on a short-notice, on-call bases and/or blocks of shifts pre-scheduled to relieve leaves of absences. What Will You Work On?
The Cardiology Department consists of 3+ Ultrasound Rooms and services offered include: Adult and Pediatric Transthoracic Echo, Contrast and Saline Bubble Echo, Transesophageal Echo and Stress Echo (Exercise and Dobutamine). Our Cardiac Sonographers at PRH work with Philips equipment that was purchased in the last 2 years.

Effective April 01, 2024 – the hourly wage for Cardiac Sonographers will be $40.83 to $50.94

Qualifications

Graduate of a recognized/accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography).

Current certification with Sonography Canada as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Generalist and/or Cardiac) and/or current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Abdomen/Small Parts, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiac, and/or Vascular) or be certified with Sonography Canada and have passed the Sonography Canada Skills Assessment (CCSA).

Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.
