The Primary Care Physiotherapist performs a variety of duties within the UPCC such as conducting orthopedic physiotherapy assessments; selecting and applying evidence-based interventions; and educating clients and caregivers regarding self-management, health promotion and injury/disability prevention including directing client to appropriate services in their community to provide ongoing care as needed. Additional duties performed include acting as a therapy resource; providing work direction instruction to the rehabilitation assistants; participating in quality improvement of programs; and participating in approved physiotherapy and interdisciplinary research and special projects.

Days of work are rotating and shifts include varying Days or Evenings. Casual employment provides relief in positions occupied by regular full time and regular part time employees. This includes short-notice, on-call shifts to covering in a specific position.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
• One year of recent related experience.
• Valid BC Driver’s license where required.
