Medical Radiation Technologist (X-Ray)

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a casual Medical Radiography Technologist to join our team at Golden and District Hospital.

Casual employment means work requirements can vary between 0 and 37.5 hours per week. Work will be available on a short-notice, on-call bases and/or blocks of shifts pre-scheduled to relieve leaves of absences. Shifts will be Days and Evenings with the shift times being 08:00 to 16:00, 08:00 to 15:00, 13:00 to 19:30, 14:30 to 19:30, 09:30 to 17:30. This position includes on call duties after evening shifts and on weekends

What Will You Work On?
We provide general x-ray exams to a large seasonal population with both a busy ER and outpatient patient workload. Part of our workload includes long term care clients. We are also responsible for outpatient Cardiac exams which includes ECG’s and Holter Monitors.

New staff will be provided with full orientation to the department as well as all areas of the hospital and attached long term care. They will also be given on site training in regards to the cardiac procedures we perform in the department. Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a team player who works well within a multi-disciplinary setting, is organized and has excellent commination skills. The successful applicant will be someone who can work independently and who is comfortable working alone in the department.

Effective April 01, 2024, the hourly wage will be $36.69 to $45.81 per hour.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program.

Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
