Medical Radiation Technologist

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a casual Medical Radiography Technologist to join our team at Elk Valley Hospital in Fernie, B.C.

The Elk Valley Hospital is a Level 1 Community Hospital in the East Kootenay health service area. Located in Fernie, south east B.C., the hospital offers services including inpatient, obstetrics, and emergency.

Casual employment means work requirements can vary between 0 and 37.5 hours per week. Work will be available on a short-notice, on-call bases and/or blocks of shifts pre-scheduled to relieve leaves of absences. Shifts will be Days and Evenings with the shift times 07:30 to 15:30, 11:30 to 19:30, 09:00 to 17:00.

What Will You Work On?
The Medical Radiography Technologist performs radiographic and related duties working in conjunction with radiologists, physicians and other health care professionals. This position provides general x-ray exams for the East Kootenay health service area and surrounding communities.

We are seeking a Medical Radiography Technologist with experience in leading others and who can be an advocate for the profession.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program.

Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
