Licensed Practical Nurse | Emergency

Position Summary

Are you an LPN with experience in an acute setting and looking to join a great team? Interior Health is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the passionate, energetic Emergency team at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC.

As the Licensed Practical Nurse, you will work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team performing assessments and planning, implementing and providing personal and nursing care to patients. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plans and provides nursing care in a team nursing approach for admitted and/or stable and predictable patients in the Emergency Department. The provision of care is in accordance with the IH LPN ED competency framework and LPN ED unit orientation established in accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia LPN Scope of Practice.

We currently have 3 x Term Specific Full-Time opportunities until May 31, 2024, working rotating days and nights with shift times of 07:30 to 19:45 and 19:30 to 07:45.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
• Current CPR certification required
• Two (2) years recent related experience in an acute care setting

Comments

Effective April 1, 2023, the hourly rate for this position will be: $31.89-$43.65
