We are looking for a confident Shift Coordinator DC2A with a solid acute care leadership background to join our team at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, B.C.
As the Shift Coordinator Nurse you are responsible for patient placement, bed utilization and staffing during evenings, weekends and night shifts. You will act as a clinical resource to staff in resolving problems regarding patient care, staffing levels and bed utilization. You are accountable for ensuring excellence in the provision of patient centered care throughout the hospital on assigned shift.
The Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH) is in the Kootenay Boundary health service area and responsible for providing medical and surgical services including physician specialties, 24 hour emergency and trauma services, Level 2 laboratory, acute and obstetrical care, psychiatry, and chemotherapy.
Community: Trail is situated on the Columbia River in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia. Qualifications
-Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
-Three years’ recent related clinical experience and two years’ recent supervisory experience in a complex health care environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
