What will you work on:
MLTs work rotating day, evening and night shifts in team-based environments to perform a variety of routine and/or complex tests utilizing manual procedures and automated instruments. MLTs are also responsible for functions such as: receiving specimens, entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), validating and reporting test results, maintaining instruments and preparing solutions and control agents. Participates in departmental training programs in individual or all sections of the lab.

Cariboo Memorial Hospital (CMH) located in Williams Lake, B.C. is a Level 2, 31 bed community hospital serving Williams Lake and surrounding communities. CMH emergency department operates 24/7 handling over 21,000 visits per year, in addition to offering a range of acute care specialties and allied health services.

Qualifications
• Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program
• Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS) and/or CSMLS
• One (1) year recent related experience.
