Position Summary
If surgical nursing is your passion and you are a reliable, flexible and motivated registered nurse; we have an exciting RELIEF PART-TIME opportunity for you at Kelowna General Hospital - 4 West Surgical. The term of this position is until December 31, 2023, or until the return of the incumbent.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Registered Nurse who has strong acute medical experience, exceptional clinical and critical thinking skills and the adaptability and enthusiasm to excel in the Interior Health 4 West Surgical unit.
About this location/unit
4W-Surgical is a fast-paced, high turnover, 36 bed (plus 1 overflow beds) orthopedic and neurosurgery and trauma unit. 4W is team based nursing with RN/LPN teams plus a float LPN on both days and night shifts.
What will you work on?
The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.
Shift types are days and nights and shift times are from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

Qualifications
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
