Interior Health is seeking a reliable and flexible Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at the KELOWNA GENERAL HOSPITAL in beautiful Kelowna, B.C.

About the Job:
The Registered Nurse:
• Provides nursing care to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers
• Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice
• Maintains and advances own clinical competence
• Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned
This is a CASUAL OPPORTUNITY. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary and shifts may be at short notice. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent and temporary positions. Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights; rotating from 07:30 to 19:45, 19:30 to 07:45 hours.
About this location/unit:
Kelowna General Hospital’s (KGH) Multi-System ICU department consists of 19 patient care beds. RNs work 11.25 hour shifts and there are 14 on day shift and 13 on night shift.

Effective April 1, 2024, the hourly wage for this position will be $41.42 to $55.91
Qualifications
Graduation as a Registered Nurse from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Advanced preparation in a critical care clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 3 years.
