Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Long Term Care Nurse either Registered Nurses or Registered Psychiatric Nurses to join our team at our Poplar Ridge Pavilion in beautiful Trail, B.C.
The RN or RPN practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the RN or RPN ensures the delivery of resident–centered care by assisting individual residents and their families respond to changing health care needs. The RN or RPN demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.
Poplar Ridge Pavilion, located in the KBRH in Trail, embodies a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. This facility is located on the top floor of a two storey building and is designed for extended care. It has 4 single rooms, 4 four bed rooms, and 15 double rooms.
This is a temporary part time (0.73 FTE) opportunity until November 30, 2023, or the return of the incumbent. Shifts of work are days, evening and shift times are from 10:00 to 18:00 hours.

Qualifications
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Post - basic education in gerontology an asset.
