Position Summary

We are looking for a patient focused team player to fill an Intensive Care Nurse vacancy that we have within our team at Penticton Regional Hospital. Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) is a referral centre for three community hospitals and one diagnostic centre in the South Okanagan. Our ICU/CCU provides services which include ventilator support and acute hemodialysis for critical patients. This department exemplifies teamwork and collectively provide a high level of quality care in their nursing practice. PRH is a wonderful hospital and community, with a culture that is friendly, warm and supportive. This facility is small enough to be a family and big enough to provide opportunity and challenge for you in your nursing practice.

This is a relief full time position until June 1, 2023 or return of incumbent. This position works rotating day and night shifts from 07:15 to 19:15, 19:15 to 07:15.

We have a very bright unit ICU with all individualized rooms that are equipped and organized so that you have what is needed to provide the highest quality of care, right at your fingertips.

Qualifications

Graduation as a Registered Nurse from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Advanced preparation in a critical care clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 3 years.
