Position Summary

As a team player you will perform a variety of duties such as maintaining inventory, filling orders and stocking shelves.
Typical Duties Include:
• Ensures departments are stocked with equipment; delivering items to appropriate departments as required.
• Orders non-stock and stock supplies as per levels established by regionalized stores department; checks on backorder; receives, unpacks and checks all non-stock materials; checks invoices against orders; resolves discrepancies, and completes related documentation.
• Assists with uncrating and stocking shelves. Rotates stock; keeps the inventory shelves, storage areas and nursing departments organized, and in a clean and tidy order.
• Assembles, issues, delivers and ships supplies/goods from requisition requests received with assistance from Maintenance department as required and records for charging to the appropriate department.
• Identifies and returns damaged or spoiled goods to suppliers; liaises with Biomedical Department where appropriate; arranges for delivery and return of loan and return items; completes appropriate documentation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, days - 08:00 to 16:00 hours.
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
Grade 12 plus one year’s recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Ability to operate related equipment.
Ability to organize work.
