Interior Health is seeking a patient focused; team oriented Registered Nurse to join our surgical team at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in beautiful TRAIL, B.C.

About the Job:

The Registered Nurse:
• Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care
• Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs
• Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities

This is a CASUAL OPPORTUNITY. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary and shifts may be at short notice. Include messaging that casual is self-scheduling? Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights; rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

Effective April 1, 2024, the hourly wage will be $41.42 to $55.91.

About this location/unit:

KBRH provides hospital services to residents of the Kootenay Boundary Health Service Area. Services include 24-hour emergency services, intensive care, general surgery, obstetrics, renal, and psychiatry as well as this 30 bed acute medical unit. Our newly renovated pediatric unit serves the Kootenay Boundary region and provides inpatient care and outpatient support for children up to and including 17 years of age. The inpatient area is supported by 7 pediatric beds which also support med/surg overflow. We support ongoing cross training between maternity, peds and nursery as we are a combined unit.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
