Interior Health has Casual RN opportunities available at Kelowna General Hospital! If you are an RN with more than 3 years of experience in an acute surgical setting, particularly in pre-surgical screening and surgical daycare; then we would love to hear from you.
This is a casual position in the Pre-surgery Screening department. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements may vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week. Hours will typically be on day (06:00 to 14:00) or evenings (14:00 to 22:00) shifts and will primarily include short call (less than 24 hours notice).
Shift times are Monday to Friday, with shift times of 08:00 to 16:00, 10:30 to 18:30.
The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs.

Graduation from an approved school of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Current CPR certification.
Three years recent related experience in an acute surgical setting or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Effective April 1, 2023, the hourly rate for this position will be: $40.21-$57.78
