Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Life Skills Worker to join our team at the Invermere District Hospital in beautiful Invermere, B.C. This permanent part time (0.50 FTE) position will support the Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) Clinic.
What will you work on?
Life Skills Workers play an important role in care. They perform a variety of duties involving clients who placed in the Short Stay, Stabilization, Treatment and Recovery housing program.
This position is a member of the multidisciplinary Mental Health and Addiction team providing an array of services within a psychosocial rehabilitation and harm reduction framework for clients with a serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder. The Life Skills Worker engages the resident and family as people with full competence and as full collaborators in service planning, delivery and evaluation.
Days of work are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and shift times are from 09:00 to 16:07 hours.

Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
• Grade 12
• Community Mental Health Worker Certificate plus one year recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• Current CPR
• Food Safe
• Valid BC Driver’s License.

Effective April 1, 2023, the pay scale for this position is $26.30 to $28.74.
