Our welcoming and cohesive, multi-disciplinary team at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake is seeking a Registered Nurse to join them in providing outstanding patient-centered nursing care for surgical patients.
About the Job:
Based within our fast paced pre-surgical screening and surgical day care unit, the RN provides nursing care and support for progressive general and specialty surgical programs. At Cariboo Memorial Hospital, there is a strong commitment toward staff development and encouraging growth and teamwork is an essential component of our daily activities.
This is a relief part-time (0.90 FTE) position. Days of work are rotating week one Monday – Friday and week two Monday to Thursday. Shift times are days from 06:45-14:45 and 10:30-18:30
About this location/unit:
At CMH, there is a strong commitment toward staff development and encouraging growth. Teamwork is an essential component of our daily activities. This is a very busy 20 bed acute medical-surgical unit, co-located with Obstetrics. The unit supports 6 specialists and has a high patient turnover with an average length of stay of 4 days.

Qualifications
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Current CPR certification.
• Three years recent related experience in an acute surgical setting or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
