Interior Health’s Shuswap Lake General Hospital (SLGH) is building its Casual pool of Physiotherapists and is inviting applications

SLGH is a community hospital located in Salmon Arm, BC, offering services including surgical, inpatient, obstetrics and 24 hour emergency. As a member of the SLGH multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, a Physiotherapist works independently and collaboratively providing physiotherapy services. As a Casual Physiotherapist you can experience a variety of physical therapy diagnosis and prognosis and develop outcome-focused intervention strategies unique to each patient. You can expect to have rewarding interactions with a lot of different patients and enjoy career satisfaction in helping people. Physiotherapists work hand-to-hand with the Occupational Therapist(s) and Rehabilitation Assistant(s).

Effective April 2023 hourly rates of pay: $40.84 to $50.80

Casual employment means work requirements can vary between Zero and 37.5 hours per week. Shifts will be between the hours 8:00 am and 4:00 pm and could be within a 7 day work week. We require a Casual Physiotherapist to be available a minimum of three days per week. Casual employees receive 13% of their straight time pay, exclusive of all premiums, in lieu of scheduled vacations and statutory holidays. Upon completion of 180 hours, there is option of purchasing medical, dental and extended health benefit plans.

• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
