Position Summary
We are hiring a permanent full time HR Reporting Assistant to join the Human Resources, Employee Benefits and Records department. This position is based out of the Community Health & Services Centre (CHSC) in Kelowna.
What will you work on?
The HR Reporting Assistant provides confidential administrative, research, reporting, and technical support to Human Resources staff. The HR Reporting Assistant provides advice and guidance on basic Collective Agreement and policy issues and directs client-managers and employees to the appropriate departmental personnel within the organization at both the corporate and the Health Service or program area levels who can address their identified needs.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Completes various reporting and/or employee records functions such as:
o Incumbent report, ensuring managers are ending term and/or relief positions for employees
o calculating seniority date and Full Time Equivalent based on hours as per Collective Agreement & Workers Compensation Board calculations for seniority purposes
o Ensuring employee has met the criteria to remove Qualified Not Registered
o Send notification to appropriate parties regarding Long Term Disability and any occupation acceptance
• Processes various eStaffing events for employee changes.
• Processes employee Criminal Record Check applications and renewals as required by law.
• Creates the Displacement paperwork for Business partners which involves running reports and preparing letters for unionized staff.
• Undertakes various Human Resource-related projects as assigned.
• Other related duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience:
• Completion of a one year post-secondary certificate.
• A minimum of one to three years of related experience in Human Resources.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills and Abilities:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint.
• Ability to model professionalism and integrity.
• Capability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and often hectic working environment.
• Capacity to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Sound judgment and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Ability to work within a Team environment

Comments
Starting salary is approximately from 44K to 55K and will be based on education, training and experience.
