Student | IMIT Network Infrastructure

Position Summary

Interior Health is hiring an Information Management Information Technology (IMIT) Student to join the IMIT Network Infrastructure Team. This position is based out of the Kelowna Warehouse (Reids) in Kelowna, B.C.

This position will be available for a maximum of a 4 month term as appropriate per co-op program requirements.

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Student will be assisting with project planning for Network Infrastructure initiatives within Interior Health Authority. This position provides support to the members of the Network Infrastructure team as directed by the Manager.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist with project planning.
2. Assist with data gathering and analysis as directed by the Manager
3. Updating training documentation
4. Travel to facilities throughout Interior Health
5. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

1. Currently enrolled in a recognized IT diploma or degree program.
2. Valid Class 5 Drivers License

Skills and abilities:

1. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
2. Ability to deal with others effectively
3. Ability to organize work.
4. Applies the problem solving process demonstrating critical thinking, decision-making skills, and system analysis.
5. Ability to utilize equipment/computer technology.
6. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
