As a member of our interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse - Oncology is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Registered Nurses are expected to demonstrate a specialized body of knowledge in addition to skills such as strong critical thinking, communication, advocacy and a commitment to high quality, safe patient centered care.

This is a permanent part-time 0.71 FTE position working rotating days 07:00-19:00. This is a vacation relief position, and not always utilized for oncology job duties. The successful candidate will work on the Oncology ward and complete other general nursing duties if oncology support is not required on a given day.

Qualifications

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Completion of a recognized post-basic program in Oncology nursing and two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Certification in administration of chemotherapeutic agents is required. Please upload a copy of your certificate along with your resume.

Effective April 1, 2023, the hourly rate for this position will be: $40.21-$57.78
