Registered Nurse | Surgical Day Care

Position Summary

Interior Health has an opportunity available for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgical Day Care team at Kelowna General Hospital!

If you are an RN with more than 3 years of experience in an acute surgical setting, particularly in pre-surgical screening and surgical daycare; then we would love to hear from you.

Based within our dynamic surgical day care unit, the RN provides nursing care and support for progressive surgical programs. At KGH there is a strong commitment toward staff development and encouraging growth and teamwork is an essential component of our daily activities. The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs.

This is a RELIEF FULL-TIME position. This position is until August 14, 2023 or until the return of incumbent.

Shifts are rotating days and evenings, Monday to Friday. Shift times include 06:00 to 14:00, 05:30 to 13:30, 08:00 to 16:00, 11:30 to 19:30, 13:30 to 21:30, 14:00 to 22:00.

Qualifications

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Current CPR certification.

Three years recent related experience in an acute surgical setting or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Comments

Effective April 1, 2023, the hourly rate for this position will be: $40.21-$57.78
