Position Summary
We have a wonderful career opportunity for you as a permanent full time Team Leader (RN/RPN) opportunity with our MH Adolescent Psychiatry Unit (APU). This position is based out of Kelowna General Hospital.
What will you work on?
The Team Leader provides line leadership, supervision, clinical support, service delivery level problem solving to multidisciplinary Mental Health and Addictions teams, and direct client care as required. This position works to deliver high quality, client focused programs across the continuum of community services and provides liaison to local agencies and other service providers. Working in collaboration with the Manager, the Team Leader is responsible for the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of clinical practice to ensure quality client care outcomes.
Shifts of work are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00 hours.
About this location/unit
The Adolescent Psychiatry Unit is an Interior health tertiary mental health program that provides a specialized inpatient program for youth ages 12-17 who are struggling with significant psychiatric symptoms, such as psychosis, mood disorders, or anxiety disorders that require an extended stay for assessment and treatment planning.

Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Four years recent related experience in the clinical specialty of the assigned area, and one year recent experience in a leadership capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current valid BC driver’s license
