Position Summary
This is a permanent, full time Physiotherapist orthopedic float position working primarily in the orthopedic services at Kelowna General Hospital (including acute orthopedics and other acute wards, outpatients and the surgical optimization clinic). This is a rotating position working one in four weekends and a share of statutory holidays.
Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) is a tertiary rehab site with lots of areas of practice: acute medical care, acute surgical care, cardiac, general orthopedic surgical, ICU, ER, large outpatients programs, large inpatient rehabilitation programs, community care rehab, urgent and primary care centres. We have something for everybody! A broad scope of patients are seen. There is a little bit of everything including pediatrics.
As a member of the KGH multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, a Physiotherapist works independently and collaboratively providing physiotherapy services. You can experience a variety of physical therapy diagnosis and prognosis and develop outcome-focused intervention strategies unique to each patient. You can expect to have rewarding interactions with a lot of different patients and enjoy career satisfaction in helping people. Physiotherapists work hand-to-hand with the Occupational Therapist(s) and Rehabilitation Assistant(s).
We are seeking a Physiotherapist who works well within the team, with good people and communication skills. Ability to coach and educate clients and willingness to learn new skills.

Qualifications
• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
We welcome upcoming Masters of Physical Therapy new grads and/or out-of-province Physiotherapists with eligibility to transfer practicing registration to B.C.
