Registered Nurse | Oncology

Position Summary

We currently have a full-time relief opportunity for a motivated Oncology Nurse! If you are certified in chemotherapy administration and have a passion for providing nursing care and support to patients and their families; then we would love to hear from you.

The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

This is a temporary full-time opportunity until April 30, 2024, or the return of the incumbent. Days of work are Monday to Friday and shifts times are 08:30-16:30 and 09:00-17:00.

Qualifications

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)

Completion of a recognized post-basic program in oncology nursing and two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Certification in administration of chemotherapeutic agents required
