Position Summary

We have a relief, full time Occupational Therapist opening at Hillside Centre.

Hillside Centre is a 44 bed tertiary mental health hospital serving adult, geriatric and neuro mental health population. The facility provides services individuals with acute illness and/or severely dysfunctional behaviours who cannot be cared for in the psychiatric system within their own area. Focus is to provide a thorough assessment of our patients, help stabilize their symptoms and return them to their home communities.

This position is a relief position that will continue until the incumbent returns. Days of work are Monday to Friday (08:00 to 16:00 hours) with weekends and statutory holidays off. The Occupational Therapist can expect to have rewarding interactions with a lot of different patients and enjoy career satisfaction in helping people. Occupational Therapists work hand-to-hand with Rehabilitation Assistant(s).

Effective April 2023 hourly rates of pay: $40.84 to $50.80

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
• Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC). Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists.
• Valid BC Driver’s license.
