We have a nursing vacancy in the Post Anesthetic Recovery Unit at East Kootenay Regional Hospital and are looking for someone who is skilled, confident, easygoing and a team player to join our supportive and cohesive team.
EKRH is a 77 bed hospital and we care for over 80,000 patients a year providing hospital services to the residents of the East Kootenay region. Surgical services provides general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, ENT, urology, opthamology, and internal medicine procedures. We have 3 perioperative suites, a 5 bay PARR Unit.
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements may vary from zero to 37.5 hours per week. On call is associated with shifts from 23:55 to 09:00 or 07:00 or 07:15 and 19:00 to 07:00, 07:15 or 09:00

Qualifications
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of the assigned area (perianesthesia or critical care nursing) and one year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment on a post anesthetic room or critical care environment similar in size and scope to the facility or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
