Position Summary
We are seeking Hemodialysis certified Licensed Practical Nurses with comprehensive assessment and critical thinking skills to join our team at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC.
In accordance with the vision and values of the organization and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Hemodialysis assesses, plans, implements and provides nursing care to patients/clients receiving hemodialysis. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the LPN – Hemodialysis provides practical nursing services during the pre-dialysis, intra-dialysis and post-dialysis periods. This position operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols.
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary and shifts may be at short notice. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent and temporary positions. Days of work are rotating and hours of work typically fall 07:00 to 15:00, and 15:00 to 23:00.

Qualifications
Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses with the full range of current licensed practical nursing competencies, and successful completion of a Health Authority Hemodialysis Training program plus one (1) year recent related experience working as a Licensed Practice Nurse in acute care, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
Current CPR certification required
