Shift Coordinator Nurse

Position Summary

We are looking for a confident RN (DC2) with strong acute care leadership skills, to join our team as a casual Shift Coordinator at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

As the Shift Coordinator you would be responsible for patient placement, bed utilization and staffing during weekends, evening and night shifts. The Shift Coordinator is a key clinical resource to staff in resolving problems regarding patient care, staffing levels, bed utilization and is accountable for ensuring excellence in the provision of patient centered care throughout the hospital on assigned shifts.

This is a casual position. Shift times may be 07:15 to 19:15 and 19:15-07:15 on an as needed basis.

-Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
-Three years’ recent related clinical experience and two years’ recent supervisory experience in a complex health care environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
-Current CPR certificate.
