Effective April 1, 2022, hourly rates of pay: $37.84 to $46.95
Interior Health’s Lansdowne Centre is seeking a dynamic and motivated Occupational Therapist, who desires to work within Counseling and Treatment Services and make a difference in the Kamloops community.
Interior Health’s Counselling and Treatment Services help clients with moderate to severe mental health concerns through their wellness journey and recovery to achieve permanent treatment goals. Services include group and individual counselling, assessment and intervention, medical and psychiatric consultation, education and self-management support, referrals, and outreach. We strive to ensure that our services are welcoming of all peoples, gender identities, cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds.
The Occupational Therapist will be working directly with Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Clinicians, Psychiatrists, Physicians, Registered Nurses, and other Allied Health Professionals to provide optimal assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, and equipment prescription care for clients. Hours of work are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 08:30 to 16:30 hours. This is a term-specific position with end date of March 29, 2024.
This unique position offers the successful Occupational Therapist an opportunity to certify in Action Based Cognitive Remediation (ABCR) and to provide ABCR for the duration of the provincial pilot program. Qualifications
• Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
• Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC). Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists.
• Valid BC Driver’s license.
