Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Rehabilitation Assistant to join our cohesive team within the friendly community of Vernon, B.C.

Durand Manor embodies a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. This facility has 85 long-term care beds.

The Rehabilitation Assistant is a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team in meeting the needs of the residents. The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists therapists in monitoring and evaluating residents’ progression. In addition to supporting therapy with the short stay and long term care clients there is a small amount of outreach involved in this role.

Shifts are rotating and scheduled during the Day 08:00 to 16:00 hours. Casual employment means work requirements can vary between Zero and 37.5 hours per week. Casual employees receive 13% of their straight time pay, exclusive of all premiums, in lieu of scheduled vacations and statutory holidays. Upon completion of 180 hours, there is option of purchasing medical, dental and extended health benefit plans.

Qualifications

Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program. Valid Driver’s License as required.
