Special Procedures Radiological Technologist – Computed Tomography (CT)/Interventional

Position Summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced Computed Tomography/Interventional Radiology Technologist to join Penticton Regional Hospital’s Medical Imaging Department.

This position is Relief Part Time (0.70 FTE) with the shift types being days and evenings. The shifts times can vary between 06:30 to 14:30, 07:00 to 15:00, 08:00 to 16:00, 09:00 to 17:00, 10:00 to 18:00, 11:00 to 19:00, 14:00 to 22:00, 14:30 to 22:30, 15:00 to 23:00.

What Will You Work On?
Reporting to the Professional Practice Leader, and under the direction of a Radiologist, performs special procedures such as computer tomography (CT), and/or interventional, as designated. Assists the Radiologists during procedure, inputs patient specific data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) PACS and provides direction regarding procedures to student technologists and staff trainees.

Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a qualified technologist who has excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills. The successful applicant must be able to work independently but also have great team work.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program plus successful completion of a recognized program such as Computer Tomography relevant to the designated specialty area.

Two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
