Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Rehabilitation Assistant to join our cohesive team for a relief, part-time opening. This position is suitable for a new grad or a seasoned Rehabilitation Assistant.

Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) offers services including 24 hour emergency and trauma services, acute services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic/paramedical services.

You will be part of a team of clinicians working across the spectrum in Acute Care with option to orientate to other South Okanagan facilities as required. Seeing clients in Acute Care to assist Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to get clients up and going in the morning, practicing ADL’s, working on UE and cognitive work, doing exercises, practicing mobility as well as supporting feeding and communication treatments to maximize a person’s independence to hopefully be able to go home. You are also a key staff member for rehab equipment maintenance and cleaning.

This position will provide coverage until May 2024, or return of the incumbent. Schedule is Thursday to Sundays, including statutory holidays. Qualifications

Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program. Valid Driver’s License as required.
