Registered Nurse | Cardiac Inpatient

Position Summary

If cardiac inpatient nursing is your passion and you are trained in telemetry and are a reliable, flexible and motivated registered nurse, the Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH) inpatient telemetry and medical cardiology unit has MULTTIPLE permanent full time opportunities!

What will you work on?

The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

RNs work rotating days and nights, with shifts from 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00.

About this location/unit

This unit offers an amazing, supportive, team environment. There are 28 beds, 18 of which are monitored telemetry and 10 are acute medical. Very fast paced, very high acuity! Come be a part of the excitement! Mix of high acuity patients medical and cardiac telemetry which can include surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring pre or post op and step down patients from ICU.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience: Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Successful completion of a recognized Basic Cardiac Course (which includes telemetry) within the last six (6) months or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
BCLS within 3 years

Effective April 1, 2023, the hourly rate for this position will be: $40.21-$57.78
