Occupational Therapist | Treatment, Support and Recovery Program

Position Summary

We invite Occupational Therapists to apply for a Relief, Full Time opening at Interior Health’s Treatment, Support and Recovery (TSR) Team.

Based in the Kelowna Community Health and Services Centre (CHSC), the Occupational Therapist’s role will emphasis on occupational therapy assessment, interventions for client mental health function in a team environment. Days of work Monday to Friday.

The TSR’s model of care is to provide treatment and support to help adults age 19 and over with major mental illness and substance use concerns on their journey to mental wellness and recovery. Services may include: screening and assessments; life skills support and education; self-management support; counselling, treatment and recovery plans; care coordination and referrals.

Professional Occupational Therapy practice is supported at multiple levels. Locally by the Allied Health and Nursing teams. General practice as part of a group led by an Occupational Therapy Professional Practice Leader, with operational oversight from an Allied Health Manager. Mentoring and mentee opportunities abound as you are surrounded by other Occupational Therapists of various backgrounds, skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
• Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
• Valid BC Driver’s license.
