Position Summary
Interior Health has an opportunity available for an Operating Room Registered Nurse at the Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) in beautiful Kelowna, BC!
As a member of the KGH Operating Room team, you will have Scrub or Circulating roles duties during surgical procedures and coordinate and oversee the overall care of the client. We are organized in team based clusters for services. Staffing consists of three nurses per room: 2 RNs : 1 LPN.

KGH serves the City of Kelowna and outlying areas. A broad scope of patients are seen; there is a little bit of everything including pediatrics. Team members work closely together to meet the patients’ needs.
This is a RELIEF FULL TIME opportunity until September 4, 2023 or until the return of incumbent. Shifts are rotating Days, Evenings and Nights; on call requirements associated with position. Shift times include 07:30 to 15:30, 15:15 to 23:15, 23:15 to 07:30.

Provide you with an extensive, comprehensive orientation. Support to the unit is provided by the Manager, Patient Care Coordinator, Perioperative Clinical Educator, Nursing Unit Clerks, Perioperative Aides, Anesthesia Assistants, and Material Management Coordinator/Clerk. Regular In-Services are offered. Library Services to support patient care, education and research are available.

Qualifications
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCMN).
• Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of Peri-operative Nursing.
• One year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment on an operating room similar in size and scope to the facility or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Effective April 1, 2023, the hourly rate for this position will be: $40.21-$57.78
