Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a self-directed, motivated, reliable and flexible Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse who enjoys working in a rural environment. If you have education and experience in Mental Health and Substance use nursing, we want to hear from you!
What will you work on?
The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse works as an integral part of an integrated mental health and substance use service. The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse provides urgent outreach, responsive assessment and treatment, case management, GP shared care, education, and support to individuals experiencing acute and/or chronic mental illness and/or problem substance use.
This is a casual opportunity; shifts are called from Monday through Friday with shift times of 08:30 to 16:30.

The Invermere Health Centre is located in the heart of Invermere on Lake Windermere. The facility is walking distance to all 3 medical clinics and the retail/shopping district of the community, and both public beaches!

Graduation from an approved school of nursing
Two years’ recent related MHSU experience in the assigned clinical area(s) (such as Counselling & Treatment Services; Treatment, Support & Recovery Services; Crisis Response; Seniors MHSU Services; Substance Use; Developmental Disability Mental Health Services (DDMHS), etc.) or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
Current valid B.C. driver’s license
