Position Summary
Effective April 1, 2022, hourly rates of pay: $37.84 to $46.95
Interior Health Physiotherapists work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing physiotherapy services and in guiding work direction to rehabilitation assistant(s).

This is a full-time, relief physiotherapist position at Kelowna General Hospital working primarily on the acute care wards and emergency department. Days of work are rotating Day shifts with a one weekend in a 5-week rotation and a share of statutory holidays.
At KGH we provide service in all areas including a 38 bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, Cardiac, General and Orthopedic Surgical and various medical units. KGH is a Medical teaching centre for UBC Medical staff. We provide student placements for MPT students from various university programs. Adjacent to KGH is a residential facility housing a 60 bed Specialized Geriatric Short Stay Unit.
KGH is the largest Interior Health facility with 380 beds. Team members work closely together to meet the patients’ needs. KGH is a tertiary rehab site with lots of areas of practice: acute medical care, acute surgical care, large outpatients programs, large inpatient rehab programs, community care rehab, urgent and primary care centre, we have something for everybody! A broad scope of patients are seen. There is a little bit of everything including pediatrics.
We have a staff of 120 or more Physiotherapists and Rehab Assistants covering all areas requiring relief for vacation and sick time. Variety of experienced physiotherapists and rehab assistants available for new graduates to learn from. A variety of positions with different rotation options that can suit active lifestyles.
This position is suitable for a new grad or a seasoned therapist. We are seeking a Physiotherapist who works well within the team but also able to work independently with good people and communication skills. Ability to coach and educate clients. Willing to learn new skills.

Qualifications
• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
