Occupational Therapist | Tertiary Mental Health

Position Summary

Interior Health Occupational Therapists works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing occupational therapy services and guides the work direction of Rehabilitation Assistants.

We have a relief, part-time opening where days of work are Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays. This position will provide coverage until March 31, 2023, or the return of incumbent. This position is based in Braemore Lodge, a 16-bed licensed facility providing psychosocial rehabilitation and community reintegration support for adults with a serious and persistent mental illness. Four of the beds are Tertiary Specialized Residential.

We will help you grow with mentorship processes and informal support from experienced Occupational Therapists on the team. Significant time for orientation to the role and team. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who can work independently and autonomously. Ability to organize time and prioritize work appropriately.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
• Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
• Valid BC Driver’s license.
