Unit Support Worker

Position Summary

100 Mile House Residential is looking for a Project Part Time Unit Support Worker to join their team! The successful candidate will have completed Grade 12, have one year's recent experience, and a typing test of 40+ words per minute from an accredited source. This position works a rotating schedule of days, evenings, and nights (including weekends and holidays when the rotation requires it) from 10:00 to 18:00 and 13:00 to 21:00


What Will You Work On?
the Unit Support Worker performs a variety of support functions in accordance with Interior Health policies and procedures such as receiving visitors, telephone answering, completing client documentation, stocking, cleaning and tidying duties. The position assists and transports clients, their personal belongings, equipment, specimens and supplies to and from various locations within the site and reports to the professional staff patient observations and interactions, as appropriate.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:
Grade 12, one year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities:
 Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
 Ability to work effectively with others.
 A 5-minute Typing Test of 40 wpm dated within the past 48 months and must be issued from a valid institution only. (ON-LINE TEST NOT ACCEPTED)
 Ability to organize work.
 Physical ability to perform the duties of the job
