Vernon Health Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Communicable Disease Program Support staff to join their team! When scheduled this position works Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30. This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week.
What Will You Work On?
In this role you will perform a variety of administrative support functions including maintaining data management software programs via data entry, gathering, organizing, collecting, collating, verifying information and issuing documentation as required. You will also send, receive, sort and distribute sensitive and confidential correspondence while also providing record management duties.
This role will also be responsible for performing general timekeeping functions including calling relief staff, tracking hours worked, entering data on to timesheets and reviewing documents for accuracy. In addition you will initiate purchases via purchase card/orders and verify invoices against orders while maintaining and monitoring inventory levels and typing and preparing a variety of office documents such as: letters, memos, newsletters, forms, reports, presentations and spreadsheets.
What should your application include?
-Office Administration Certificate
-Valid 5 minute typing test of 45 wpm taken within the past 48 months from an accredited institution (Online tests not accepted)
-a current valid BC Driver’s License
-A Cover letter stating your availability to start in a new position

Education, Training & Experience
Grade 12, a certificate from a recognized office administration certificate program plus one year recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current valid BC Driver’s License.
