Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) has a relief full time opening for an Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse (RN). The relief period for this position is until. April 12, 2024.
Interior Health’s Tertiary Hospitals provide a range of Ambulatory Care services and depending on the assigned clinical area within the Ambulatory Care the Registered Nurse may be required to be competent in multiple clinical settings.
Shifts are rotating days and evenings, with shift times of 08:00 to 16:00, 09:00 to 17:00, 14:00 to 20:00.

What Will You Work On?
Ambulatory Care is Monday to Friday Day operations. Patient volume depends on the clinics going each day. Endoscopy five days a week; 12 patients per day. IV therapy 12 patients per day. Some of the other clinics are once a week (i.e. Cystoscopy, colonoscopy); 15 patients per week.

KGH serves the City of Kelowna and outlying areas. A broad scope of patients are seen. Team members work closely together to meet the patients’ needs.

We have a happy, good place to work. We are very experienced team. Support to the unit is provided by the manager, patient care coordinator and endoscopy lead to support practice. We have infection control nurses and an infusion nurse. We will provide you with an extensive orientation including general hospital orientation. Regular In-Services are offered. Library Services to support patient care, education and research are available.

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Certification in Perioperative Nursing.
• Two years recent, related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment.
