Position Summary

We currently have a casual Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity at the Kelowna General Hospital-4W.

What will you work on?


The successful candidate will work within a cohesive team and bring enthusiasm, adaptability and exceptional critical thinking skills to 4West-Surgical. This is a fast-paced, high turnover, 36 bed (plus 1 overflow beds) orthopedic and neurosurgery and trauma unit. 4W is team based nursing with RN/LPN teams plus a float LPN on both days and night shifts. As a member of our interdisciplinary team you will work collaboratively to provide pre and post-surgical nursing care to this patient population.

This position will work rotating days and nights and shifts are from 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements may vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week. Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Recent acute surgical experience would be considered an asset
