Position Summary
Interior Health’s Cariboo Memorial Hospital (CMH) invites applications for the role of Registered Nurse (RN), Perioperative (Operating Room). CMH is looking for a knowledgeable Perioperative prepared RN with experience in the delivery of client–centered care that has assisted individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs.
CMH Perioperative Services include two operating room theatres and one Endoscopy Suite. Pre-Surgical Screening, Daycare Surgery, Endoscopy, Dental, General Surgery, OB/Gyne, Dental, Post-Anesthesia Recovery procedures are offered. Planned expansion for Cataracts, ENT, Ortho and Urology.
As a member of the CMH Registered Nurse team, you will coordinate and oversee the overall care of the client and set priorities, provide clinical expertise and leadership for the plan of care, plan and implement health care treatments and interventions, and assign and delegate tasks as appropriate to other members of the healthcare team. Reporting to Surgical Team Leader you will draw upon your ability to establish therapeutic relationships through the use of effective interpersonal and interviewing techniques, ensuring client choices and autonomy in decision making and care planning.
This is a Relief Full Time opportunity to September 5, 2023 or return of the incumbent. Shifts are scheduled on a rotational basis Days; Mondays through Fridays. Shift times are 07:30 to 15:30 and 08:30 to 16:30.

Facility Details: Cariboo Memorial Hospital & Health Centre is a Level 2 Community Hospital in Williams Lake. The Hospital embodies a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. With 28 inpatient beds, CMH ER, ICU, OR, med-surg, and obstetrical units. Lab and diagnostic imaging on site; outpatient hemodialysis unit operated on-site. Residential beds are embedded within med-surg unit on second floor of hospital.

Qualifications
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Midwives and Nursing (BCCMN).
• Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of Peri-operative Nursing.
• One year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment on an operating room similar in size and scope to the facility or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
