Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Position Summary

We are seeking to expand the Medical Imaging team at East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH) and invite applications from Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

Casual employment means work requirements can vary between Zero and 37.5 hours per week. Work will be available on a short-notice, on-call bases and/or blocks of shifts pre-scheduled to relieve leaves of absences. What Will You Work On?
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at EKRH you be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department, providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to inpatients and outpatients. Our department includes a full radiopharmacy. The Nuclear Medicine Technologists are also responsible for performing Bone Density.

How Will You Create Impact?
The Nuclear Medicine department at EKRH will be going through renovations in 2022 in anticipation for our new SPECT/CT camera. This new camera will change the face of healthcare for the entire East Kootenay region and its residents being able to provide diagnostic results closer to home.

How Will We Help You Grow?
New team members will receive two weeks of orientation to get their bearings within our department and hospital. New grads will typically receive longer orientations. Continuing education opportunities available for Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Radiation Safety and Bone Density courses. We will continue to help your personal and professional growth within the healthcare industry.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:
Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program recognized by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
Current certification with CAMRT.
Recent work experience with Bone Densitometry considered an asset.
