If Practical Nursing in a fast-paced acute surgical setting is your passion, we would love to hear from you! We are looking for a permanent full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our acute surgical team at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH). The ideal practical nurse applicant will bring a proven ability and enthusiasm for providing high quality nursing skills and compassionate patient centered care within a busy surgical inpatient department.
As the Licensed Practical Nurse you will work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team performing assessments and planning, implementing and providing personal and nursing care to patients. You will also administer oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures.
The shifts are rotating days and nights, with shift times 7:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 7:00

• Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses.
• Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Acute care experience is considered an asset. Along with a copy of your CV (resume) please provide details regarding your previous acute care experience.
