Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) opportunity available now in 100 Mile House, B.C. This is a casual position and shift times are 8hr days and evenings.
MLA's perform a variety of duties in accessioning, outpatients and hospital collections. Typically this involves a lot of patient interaction through collecting blood and other specimens, preparing blood and specimens for analysis, sample processing and send out to outside Labs. Your responsibilities will also include using the Laboratory Information System (LIS), Holter monitor set-up & placement and ECG testing and some other clerical duties.

Successful completion of a recognized Laboratory Assistant training program
One year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Valid BC Driver’s License
Ability to type 25 WPM *please upload a copy of an invigilated typing test dated within the last 48mths. Please note we do not accept self-administered online tests*
