Position Summary

Overlander Extended Care in Kamloops, B.C. is seeking an Electronic Instrument Control (EIC) Technician II to join our team!

How will you create an impact?

This position creates an impact by maintaining the building systems that all other divisions rely on daily to manage the clients that health care serves. These systems are critical to the comfort/safety and communication of clients and staff.

How will we help you grow?

Interior Health, Plant Services provides a tailored orientation for this position. We provide support from within Plant Services and from other divisions within Interior Health. We will assist with on going education that will keep you current in your field and systems that you need to maintain. We also provide internal education through i-learns. Your abilities to trouble shoot and repair all systems will grow as your exposure to all sites and systems expands.

Who are we looking for?

This position is suitable for a self motivated individual with experience and knowledge of all electronic systems. An individual that can learn new skills on their own as well as take notes from others. The successful candidate should be a willing team player with strong, agreeable communication skills both in-person and virtually. This candidate should be very comfortable driving to and from sites on a daily basis.

Graduate of a recognized diploma program in Electronic Technology plus five (5) years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Industry and vendor equipment certifications as required.

Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required.

Experience in Nurse call systems, access control and door operators, security systems, and BMS would be an asset.
