Community Rehabilitation Assistant | Seniors Health and Wellness

Position Summary

Interior Health Rehabilitation Assistants function as members of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client.

We are seeking a Community Rehabilitation Assistant for a permanent part time (0.41 FTE) opening. Days of work are Tuesdays and Thursdays; 08:30 to 16:30 hours. Additional work to complement this steady 15-hour per week role.

This position works in home based rehabilitation supporting the Seniors Health and Wellness Centre and adults with a variety of physical disabilities. Under the direction of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists you will assist clients with activities of daily living, and implementing individual programs in clients’ homes and other community sites. Services offered are intended to allow clients to maximise their functional ability, remain at home and engage in meaningful activity.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized, two-year Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma Program.
• Valid Driver’s License as required.
