Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH) Lab are seeking positive, energetic and motivated Medical Laboratory Assistants (MLA) who want to be a part of their high functioning team! This is a casual position offering a variety of day and evening shift times between the hours of 07:00 and 22:45.
MLA’s perform a variety of duties within the hospital, such as taking blood samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, performing routine lab tests and operating related equipment, distributing specimens within the Core Lab and outside Laboratories and receiving specimen from Labs within the region. MLA’s also enter data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and perform related clerical duties and ECG testing as required.

Successful completion of a recognized Laboratory Assistant training program
One year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Valid BC Driver’s License as required
Ability to type 25 WPM *please upload a copy of an invigilated typing test dated within the last 24mths. Please note we do not accept self-administered online tests*
